On December 14, 2022, in Rome, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Italy Taalai Bazarbaev met with the Chief Advisor to the President of Italy on foreign policy Fabio Cassese.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Italian bilateral and multilateral cooperation was discussed. Particular attention is paid to the discussion of the current state and prospects for the further development of political, trade, economic, investment, scientific and cultural interaction between the two countries. The mutual intention to expand the political dialogue by organizing mutual visits at high and highest levels in 2023 was confirmed.

Ambassador T.Bazarbaev informed about the ongoing reforms and the current socio-economic situation in Kyrgyzstan, and also noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to the comprehensive partnership with Italy, as one of the important members of the European Union.

F.Cassese congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the opening of the Embassy in Rome and expressed great interest in developing relations between Italy and Kyrgyzstan through bilateral cooperation and within the framework of international organizations.
