On December 15, 2022, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalai Bazarbaev met with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies Giulio Tremonti.

During the meeting, the parties noted with satisfaction the intensification of Kyrgyz-Italian bilateral relations. At the same time, taking into account the significant role of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the development of bilateral cooperation, an agreement was reached on the need to intensify cooperation between the relevant committees of the parliaments of Kyrgyzstan and Italy through meetings and joint events, as well as the formation of friendship groups in the Parliaments of both countries.

The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in Central Asia and considered the problems of regional security.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue to make joint efforts to further expand inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and Italy.
