Asein Isaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to India, took part in a conference on the theme “India – Central Asia and beyond towards Growth and Prosperity: Connecting for Business”

On August 7, 2019, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to India Asein Isaev took part and spoke at a conference organized by the Millennial India International Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture.

A. Isaev expressed gratitude to the organizers of this conference and noted their contribution to the development of business ties between our countries. He highlighted that at present Kyrgyz-Indian relations have reached a new level of development, having received a mutually beneficial basis that meets the long-term interests of our countries.

It was noted that during the official visit of the Prime Minister of India NarendraModi to the Kyrgyz Republic on June 13-14, 2019, a Joint Declaration was signed on establishing strategic partnership relations. The official visit of Prime Minister N. Modi to Kyrgyzstan was an important milestone in Kyrgyz-Indian relations in the course of which 15 bilateral documents aimed at further deepening cooperation between the countrieswere signed.

Ambassador A.Isaev noted that therefore the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Zheenbekov initiated the announcement of 2021 as the Year of Friendship and Culture of Kyrgyzstan and India.

However, at present, the opportunities for the development of our bilateral trade and economic partnership are not fully used. In this regard, Kyrgyzstan is carrying out large-scale work to optimize economic cooperation, foe these purpose a special department on economic diplomacy has been established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is designated to coordinate economic issues with foreign countries.

Taking into account the potential and experience of India in implementing projects in the field of new technologies such as Digital India, E-Government, StartUp Village, A. Isaev called on Indian companies to actively participate in the implementation of high technologies on mutually beneficial conditions in such priority areas, such as IT technologies, mining and agricultural industries, transport and logistics communications, textile and processing industries, education, medicine and pharmaceuticals.

A. Isaev at the end of his speech emphasized that the free economic zones of Kyrgyzstan are also ready for cooperation with India: where there is a favorable investment climate, tax benefits and customs conditions for domestic and foreign entrepreneurs.
