On April 29, 2019, Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada organized a meeting with representatives of the US Department of State, Department of Defense and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), who study and practice Russian language.

Kyrgyz Embassy staff presented to the US government officials information on economic and tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic, and distributed information booklets about Kyrgyzstan.

The main sectors of the economy, history, culture and education system of the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed by the participants during the meeting.

USAID Language Program Manager Nenad Filipovic said: « First, I wanted to thank Embassy staff for meeting with us. They really helped the students practice Russian and learn about Kyrgyz society. These American officials are planning to work overseas in diplomacy, security cooperation and development. This visit will help them improve their language and cultural skills».
