On March 3, 2023 Ambassador Amanbaev met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs John Pommersheim.

During the meeting there was an exchange of views on current and problematic issues of bilateral relations and the prospects for effective cooperation. The parties confirmed their full commitment and readiness to develop bilateral cooperation aimed primarily at strengthening the independence, territorial integrity and security of the two countries.

Ambassador Amanbaev shared his vision and specific proposals for activities to build up Kyrgyz-American cooperation in 2023. U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary Pommersheim reiterated his willingness to make efforts to further build mutually beneficial cooperation.

Ambassador Amanbaev took the opportunity to wish his counterpart further success in his responsible position.
