Discussions took place on the ways to develop cooperation between the business circles of the United States and Central Asia

On November 27, 2023, a meeting organized by the International Center for Private Enterprise at the US Chamber of Commerce took place in Washington, aiming to enhance mutual cooperation between businessmen from the United States and Central Asian countries, with the participation of representatives from the US State Department and ambassadors of Central Asian countries to the United States.

At the beginning of the meeting, the US International Center for Private Enterprise presented concrete plans to establish and develop cooperation between US and Central Asian business circles going forward.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA and Canada, B.Amanbaev, spoke at the meeting and shared his proposals in this regard. B.Amanbaev noted that, in order to improve cooperation between the Central Asian region and US businessmen, first of all, it is necessary to address the following three tasks: extend the validity of the GSP program that would allow for agricultural products produced in Central Asian countries to be exported to US market, provide assistance to Kyrgyz banks in opening correspondent accounts in US banks, and create a Special Financing Fund for the implementation of important and real economic projects needed by the people.

The meeting participants emphasized the importance of the Ambassador’s proposals and agreed to provide full support for their implementation and to work together in this direction.
