On August 29-30 Consular section of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada conducted onsite consular services in Chicago.

During this consular visit more than 150 citizens of Kyrgyzstan were received. In particular, 80 applications for the exchange/issuance of general passports were received, 5 applications for registration of birth certificates, 71 people were registered at the Embassy, 4 certificates were issued for return to Kyrgyzstan, and 3 letters of attorneys were issued.

On August 31 and September 1 during cultural and humanitarian events in Cincinnati on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the Embassy carried out consular services for Kyrgyz citizens.

During the series of events in Cincinnati, where a large number of Kyrgyz citizens took part from such states as Ohio, Illinois, New York, Philadelphia, Texas, Indiana, Wisconsin, got a chance to  address questions they are interested in and necessary consular services.

At the same time, attendees could discuss and receive answers for many questions of mutual interest, and also were informed about the upcoming parliamentary elections in 2020, as well as other political, social and cultural events in Kyrgyzstan.
