On May 25, 2022, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Romania with the residence in the city of Kyiv helld a meeting with the Head of the Foreign Trade Department Mr. S.Toader and Advisor to the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania Mr. S.Salaru.

During the meeting, the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere were discussed.

The Embassy provided information on the investment potential of Kyrgyzstan, tax and customs preferences for investors.

In turn, the Romanian side stressed that it attaches great importance to the development of trade and economic relations with the Kyrgyz Republic and is ready to consider investment projects of the republic. In addition, the Romanian side transmitted information about scholarship programs for bachelor's and master's programs of the Ministry on a gratuitous basis for applicants from Kyrgyzstan.

In order to establish contacts between the business circles of the two states, an agreement was reached to hold a Kyrgyz-Romanian business forum this autumn.
