On September 24, 2019, a bilateral meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chingiz Aidarbekov, and the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Ramona Manescu.

Minister C. Aidarbekov congratulated R. Manescu on his appointment as Romanian Foreign Minister and expressed hope for the further development of bilateral cooperation.

As part of the meeting, the parties signed a Joint Action Plan between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Academies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and Romania.

In an open and constructive conversation, an exchange of views took place on key aspects of the international and regional agenda, including interaction at the UN, EU, OSCE and other international organizations.
