On August 18, 2022, H.E. Mr. Talantbek Kushchubekov, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary, met with H.E. Mr. Ádám Stifter, the Deputy State Secretary for Development of Eastern Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, during which they discussed the current issues of bilateral cooperation.

On the occasion of the forthcoming state holiday of Hungary - the St. Stephen's Day, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary T.Kushchubekov handed over the original congratulatory letters from H.E. Mr. Talant Mamytov, the Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic to H.E. Mr. László Kövér, the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, and from H.E. Zheenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

In turn, the Deputy Secretary of State Mr. Ádám Stifter thanked the Kyrgyz side for the warm congratulations on the coming day of the Saint Stephen’s Day and noted the readiness for further cooperation with the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Hungary.

FYI: St. Stephen's Day (August 20) - is the main national holiday of Hungary. The date is dedicated to the country's first king - Istvan, who ascended the throne on August 20, 1000.
