On March 9, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to New Zealand (with residence in Tokyo) Mr M.Arstanbaev presented credentials to HE The Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro, GNZM, QSO.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Mr M.Arstanbaev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic considers New Zealand as a friendly and promising partner in the Pacific region and is ready to develop and maintain relations on political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian issues, environmental security and combating the effects of climate change.

Mr M.Arstanbaev stressed that on September 7, 2022, the countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and, in this regard, expressed the hope that in the near future the parties will be able to take joint steps to form a legal framework for cooperation.

HE The Rt Hon Dame Cindy Kiro, GNZM, QSO congratulated 
Mr M.Arstanbaev with his assumption of the post of Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to New Zealand and invited him to visit New Zealand in the near future.

In turn, Ambassador Mr M.Arstanbaev assured that he will make every effort to strengthen friendly ties between the two countries.
