In the period from January 27 to 28, 2022, as part of the work to promote economic diplomacy, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Azerbaijan, an expert group of the Republic of Azerbaijan visited the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was organized in order to implement the agreements reached during the bilateral meetings of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Sadyr Zhaparov with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan H.E. Ilham Aliyev within the framework of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States "CCTS" (November 12, 2021, Istanbul).

The main purpose of the event was to familiarize experts with investment projects in the field of energy, agriculture and field development and, in general, investment potential.

During the two-day visit of the delegation, meetings were held at the Investment and Development Agency, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, and a trip to the Bishkek FEZ was organized.

Thus, within the framework of the meetings, the parties identified a number of priority areas for further development of cooperation, noted the high potential for developing the level of trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as issues of increasing interaction in the field of mutual trade and investment between states through the implementation of joint projects.

Along with this, a business meeting "Kyrgyzstan-Azerbaijan" was held, during which B2B and B2G meetings were held. Welcoming speeches were made by the Head of the Investment and Development Agency Mr.Nuradil Bayasov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr.Kairat Osmonaliev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Latif Gandilov and Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mr. Niyazi Safarov.

During the event, presentations were shown on the export opportunities of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, presentation on the tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. More than 20 domestic companies took part in the event.

At the end of the visit, the Azerbaijan delegation was received at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic. The parties discussed the results of the visit and, noting the great potential between the countries, expressed mutual interest in deepening and expanding further bilateral cooperation.
