On February 10, 2024, a meeting took place in Houston, Texas, where Consul General B.Borbiev engaged with representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora, activists, and citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic residing in Houston.

During the meeting, attendees were briefed on the activities of the Consulate General, focusing on the protection of citizens' rights and legitimate interests, economic diplomacy, as well as the initiatives and projects planned for the current year. All participants had the opportunity to pose questions, receiving comprehensive answers.

Consul General expressed readiness to strengthen ties with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Houston, extending gratitude for active participation and highlighting the importance of supporting fellow citizens.

This meeting was initiated by the Consulate General as part of its outreach to the states of Texas and California, involving a series of meetings with representatives of the U.S. Immigration and Border Protection Services, as well as visits to Temporary Detention Centers for foreign citizens entering the U.S. via Mexico.
