On May 25, 2022, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Acting Governor of Sindh Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr, Agha Siraj Durrani.

During the talks, the parties discussed topical issues of the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation. They noted that there is significant potential between the two countries for the development of such areas as military-technical cooperation, trade, investment, energy, mining, agriculture, etc.

Briefly informing the Pakistani side about significant political and socio-economic reforms in the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador U.Totuiaev emphasized the importance of establishing and developing contacts between government agencies and representatives of the business circles of the two countries in order to strengthen interregional ties.

In his turn, A.S.Durrani announced the readiness of the Pakistani side for comprehensive fruitful cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, he suggested that the parties should pay special attention to such aspects as the development of tourism, the opening of joint ventures and the increase in bilateral trade.

On the same day, Ambassador U.Totuiaev visited the Hafiz Tannery Leather Garment Factory, and also met with Humza Tabani, Chief Executive Officer of the Tabani group of companies engaged in the production of military products, construction, IT technologies and energy projects.

During these meetings, Ambassador U.Totuiaev called on representatives of the business community of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to pay special attention to the prospects for doing business, implementing projects and opening production facilities in the Kyrgyz Republic. He stressed that such cooperation would further make a significant contribution to the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
