On August 19, 2022, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Aibek Artykbaev met with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Mukhtar Ahmed.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, in particular, they emphasized the importance of organizing mutual visits of the delegation to exchange experience in terms of educational methods and programs, as well as student and academic exchanges.

A. Artykbaev informed the Pakistani side that the higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic have international recognition and are distinguished by the quality of education and the presence of an extensive material and technical base. In this regard, he noted the need to remove restrictions for some medical universities of the Kyrgyz Republic by the Pakistan Medical Commission.

In his turn, Mukhtar Ahmed noted with satisfaction the existing wide potential for cooperation in the educational field and announced his readiness to assist in resolving the above issues, as well as in signing relevant documents in this area as soon as possible.
