On January 22, 2020, in anticipation of the 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Islamabad held a business briefing for members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gujranvala.

During the event, Ambassador E. Beishembiev informed businessmen about the export and investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, especially noting the leading position of the Kyrgyz Republic in the export of textile products within the EAEU, as well as the country's wide potential in the export of organic agricultural products.

Speaking about Kyrgyz-Pakistani trade and economic cooperation, the Head of the diplomatic mission of Kyrgyzstan emphasized the need to use the wide opportunities provided by the “The Quadrilateral Traffic in Transit Agreement (QTTA)” between Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Following the event, representatives of business circles of Pakistan were invited to the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in a meeting of the joint Business Council of the two countries.
