On August 31, 2020, an event dedicated to the celebration of the 29th anniversary of the Independence of the Kyrgyz Republic was held at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia, together with the Kyrgyz diaspora in Malaysia.

During the event, the staff of the Embassy congratulated compatriots and guests on the Independence Day of the Kyrgyz Republic. Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia A. Beknazarov spoke about the history and events that took place in 1991 at the time of the acceptance of the resolution on the “Declaration of State Independence of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Also, competitions were held on knowledge of the history, sights of Kyrgyzstan and the importance of the Motherland for citizens living abroad.

In addition, consultations were held with the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic on consular issues and noted the need and importance of observing the laws of the host country and the migration regime.

During the event, all safety measures and recommendations of the Malaysian authorities in the context of a pandemic were followed.
