On April 1, 2022, the Permanent Missions of twelve states to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, including the Kyrgyz Republic, jointly organized an event dedicated to the celebration of International Nooruz Day in the lobby of the World Intellectual Property Organization.

During the event, which was attended by more than 400 representatives of the diplomatic corps in Geneva, the Missions of Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan presented various national dishes, as well as videos about cultural , economic and tourism opportunities of the mentioned countries.

Representatives of the organizing states and international organizations who spoke at the event congratulated the peoples of the countries on the celebration of Nooruz and emphasized the world cultural significance of this holiday, which is enshrined in the resolution of the UN General Assembly of February 23, 2010, which proclaimed March 21 as the International Day of Nooruz, and also called on all peoples to peace and harmony.
