On April 2, 2024, as part of an official visit to Malaysia, a meeting was held between Zheenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Zambri Abdul Kadir, the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, during which issues of cooperation between the two countries in the educational field were discussed.

The parties noted with satisfaction the dynamics of intensification of Kyrgyz-Malaysian bilateral relations, including in the field of education, which is strengthening every year and making its feasible contribution to the intensification of friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.

Considering Malaysia’s experience in the field of education in the south-eastern region, the parties agreed to exchange the best advanced standards of education in educational institutions and increase the number of students from Kyrgyzstan in Malaysian universities.

Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev expressed gratitude to the Malaysian side for the resumption of short-term courses within the framework of the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program for civil servants of Kyrgyzstan, which will also contribute to the development of bilateral relations between our countries.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue active cooperation in organizing educational seminars, conducting scientific and practical conferences, symposiums, as well as exchanging experience in the field of education.
