On April 28, 2021, the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva D.Mukashev held an online meeting with the Regional Director for Europe of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Kluge.

During the meeting, the parties discussed in details the results of the visit of the Regional Director Dr. H. Kluge to Kyrgyzstan that took place on March 24-26 this year, as well as the current situation in Kyrgyzstan amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, they discussed such issues as the cooperation of Kyrgyzstan with WHO in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic; vaccination of the country's population against COVID-19; the need to support and promote primary health care in the country.

The Regional Director stressed that the issues of providing assistance to Kyrgyzstan are in the list of priority issues in the agenda of the WHO Regional Office.
