On June 14, 2022, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Malaysia and the Plenipotentiary Representatives of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Issyk-Kul region, together with the Sixth Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, held an online presentation on the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan. The presentation was attended by Kyrgyz travel agencies and more than 70 travel companies from Malaysia, headed by the Deputy President of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents.

During the presentation, Malaysian travel agents were provided with detailed information about the culture and history of Kyrgyzstan, about winter and summer types of tourism, recreation opportunities for guests from abroad on the coast of Lake Issyk-Kul, as well as about the visa regime for entry into the Kyrgyz Republic for citizens Malaysian and citizens of other countries residing in the territory of Malaysia.

The meeting participants were shown videos about the nature, sights of Kyrgyzstan and the traditions of the Kyrgyz people. Following the presentation, representatives of the Kyrgyz and Malaysian tourism sectors exchanged contacts for further cooperation.
