On February 2, 2022, a Kyrgyz citizen Zh.S. was returned to Kyrgyzstan by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia.

For reference: Zh.S. was detained in 2010 at the airport in Bandung, Indonesia for possession of prohibited substances and was sentenced by the High Court of Indonesia to 12 years in prison. In 2019 Zh.S. was released on parole.

After the end of the parole period, the Embassy, in cooperation with the competent authorities of Indonesia, prepared the necessary documents for the deportation of Zh.S. to the Kyrgyz Republic.

By maintaining constant communication between the Embassy and the relevant authorities of Indonesia, as well as personally with Zh.S, the done work gave a positive result, and citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic Zh.S. timely and without delay was sent to Kyrgyzstan on January 31, 2022 and arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on February 2, 2022.
