Chargé d'affaires of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia Atai Namatbaev invited Malaysian businessmen to invest in mutually beneficial projects in the Kyrgyz Republic

Chargé d'Affaires of the Kyrgyz Republic in Malaysia Atai Namatbaev spoke at a business briefing organized by the Malaysian “South-South” Association and the Malaysian Eximbank with the participation of 40 companies.

During the presentation, Atai Namatbaev provided information on the trade, export and investment potential of the Kyrgyz Republic in the fields of energy, tourism, agriculture and processing industry, production of bottled water, information technology and healthcare. In this regard, the Kyrgyz diplomat invited Malaysian businessmen to invest in mutually beneficial projects in the Kyrgyz Republic.

President of Eximbank Malaysia Arshad Ismail informed the participants about plans to strengthen cooperation and enter the markets of Central Asian countries by attracting investors to infrastructure projects, as well as maintaining export-import policy. At the same time, in relation to Kyrgyzstan, the Malaysian side expressed interest in investment cooperation in the following areas: agriculture, telecommunications, finance, minerals, livestock, tourism, renewable energy, metallurgy, infrastructure and information technology.

Following the meeting, Atai Namatbaev held a number of meetings with representatives of Malaysian companies, the South-South Association and the Malaysian Eximbank, as a result of which the parties agreed to continue consultations on attracting investment in the Kyrgyz Republic.
