On March 27, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Malaysia Anvar Anarbaev held a meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Bala Chandran Tharman, during which the issues of interaction between the two countries in international organizations, including at the UN, were discussed.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue making efforts to strengthen relations and noted the importance of fruitful cooperation on the issue of mutual support within international organizations.

Ambassador A. Anarbaev, informing about the nomination of Kyrgyzstan for Non-permanent members of the UN Security Council from the Asia-Pacific regional group for the period 2027-2028, expressed a request to support the candidacy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
