April 1 this year at the invitation of Utama Haji Mohamad Haji Hasan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Zheenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, arrived on a two-day official visit to Malaysia.

On the first day of the visit, a meeting was held between the heads of the foreign affairs departments of the two countries, during which the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral interaction and cooperation, including in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.

Satisfaction was expressed with the dynamics of intensification of Kyrgyz-Malaysian bilateral relations and the importance of maintaining this trend for their further strengthening was noted. Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation, attracting investments, opening direct flights between our countries, as well as developing relationships in the field of education and the halal industry.

The parties emphasized the importance of organizing mutual visits at a high and senior level and expanding the legal framework. There was also an exchange of views on current issues on the international and regional agenda.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue the course of strengthening and developing Kyrgyz-Malaysian relations, including mutual support in international organizations.
